We Are Glad to Welcome a New Member...

My name is Mio Aoki. I am a pastor's wife and have there children. This spring, I graduated from Christ Bible Seminary. While I was in seminary, I did an internship at LHN and was asked to become a counselor. Nice to meet you.
NHK Program
If you watched the NHK program (discussed below), you noticed that LHN wasn't mentioned. After watching the program ourselves, we think the director made the best decision to just focus on "Chisa na Inochi wo Mamoru Kai" (ProLife Japan). We thought it was a great program and hope many women will be helped and babies saved through it. We were very proud of our homestay who was the pregnant woman interviewed on the program. (The interview took place at LHN.) She did a wonderful job! We are thankful that NHK was willing to create a program like this and that we were able to participate in a small way.
For people living in Aichi, Gifu and Mie, please watch NHK on March 5th, between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m. LHN will appear on the morning program for a few moments!
NHK filming

In 2009, 133 women (and men) contacted Life Hope Network for the first time.
We are in our 5th year and are growing little by little. We were so glad for the privilege of being contacted by so many this year. We're not primarily interested in numbers, but we also want to help as many people as we can. We look forward to putting all the experience we gained this year to work for even more women (and men) in 2010!
In September, 2009, LIFE International's president came to Japan
Life Hope Network's partner is an NPO in America called LIFE International. It's president recently came here to interview us for a documentary film being made about life issues. This film will be released in the fall of 2010 and will include interviews from all over the world about the problem of abortion. We were also interviewed and hope to be included in the documentary. The documentary will first come out in America and then little by little be translated and appear in other countries. We had a great time with the LIFE International president and film makers. We're thankful for them.
It was the first time these Americans had eaten Japanese mochi. How was it?
